Leben
Abitur Gymnasium Bad Salzuflen 1957; Studium der Physik an der Universität Göttingen, Diplom in Physik 1963. Promotion 1965. 1966-1968 Stipendiat am Bartol Research Institute in Philadelphia (USA). Habilitation an der Universität Göttingen 1971. Außerplanmäßiger Professor 1974, Univ.-Professor für Physik seit 1978. bis zu seinem Ruhestand um 2002.
