Dr. rer. nat. Alexander Gamp (* 10. April 1948 in Detmold) war Mitarbeiter am DESY Hamburg und Hochschullehrer.

Leben
Abitur 1968 am Leopoldinum I in Detmold. Er studierte Physik und Astronomie an der Universität Heidelberg, wo er mit Diplom 1973 abschloss. Er promovierte 1975 und wurde Hochschul-Assistent an Universität und Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik in Heidelberg. Er habilitierte sich an der FU Berlin im Februar 1982.
Er wurde (vor 1990) Mitarbeiter des DESY in Hamburg (wird im Jahresbericht 2009 als Bereichsreferent des Bereichs „Beschleuniger“ genannt) und blieb dort bis zu seinem Ruhestand.
